Flatbed die-cutting is the most agile manufacturing route for corrugated packaging.
We have invested heavily in this equipment as it allows us to produce almost any design of corrugated packaging. This versatile machinery gives us the production capabilities needed to apply our designers innovative solutions to mass manufacturing, allowing us to produce market leading products.
Our portfolio of die-cutting and gluing equipment includes:
To speak with one of our dedicated Sales Managers, you can either call us on 01270 878747 or send us an email at sales@cardway.co.uk.
During this conversation the Sales Manager will try and establish the following:
1. The style of box you are after.
FEFCO codes are the internationally applied system for corrugated packaging design.
2. The size and dimensions of the box.
3. Any print and artwork requirements.
4. The material required.
This is determined by how strong the box needs to be and if there are any print requirements.
5. The order quantities and frequencies you will require.
Once the Sales Manager has all of the relevant information, they will brief the enquiry to our design team.
The design team will use our CAD design software and plotting table to create different concepts and designs.
We will deliver the samples to you, free of charge for testing.
Once the design and style of the packaging has been agreed, the Sales Manager will supply a 2D drawing of the box called a cutter guide.
If the customer has their own design facilities, they can apply their artwork to the cutter guide.
If these facilities are not available, our designers will help create the artwork with you.
The Sales Manager will provide a quote upon your request. The quote is usually shown as a price per 1000 units delivered. There are a few factors that will effect a quotation:
1. The order quantity.
2. The grade of paper required.
3. The style of box and therefore, manufacturing route.
4. The ink coverage and number of colours required.
The final step before we proceed to manufacturing is Product Activation. Here the Production Director will conduct one final review of the design to check that there are no errors.
During this process the Sales Manager will ask the customer for final approval of the artwork and cutter guide.
Once customer approval has been received and the product has been activated we will proceed to manufacturing.
After receiving a customer order our Sales Administrators will acknowledge a delivery date based on the customers requested date or on our lead time.
Once produced, we will deliver your products in one of our own curtain sided vehicles.
